Make time visible
A small change to the event record that makes tomorrow's timeline easier to trust.
What moved today
We spent the day reducing ambiguity in the loop rather than adding another layer to it. The useful question was not whether every device produced data; it was whether a person looking at the log tomorrow could tell which events belonged together.
The answer improved when we treated the trigger as a first-class signal. It now has a place in the acquisition record, the decoder trace and the actuation log. That is a small change with an outsized effect: a late frame is no longer a mystery that gets explained away during analysis.
A note for the next run
There is still a difference between a shared timestamp and a shared understanding of time. The next pass is to make the offset and dropped-sample counters visible where the operator can see them during a session, not only after it.
That is the shape of a good daily note: one thing that became clearer, one thing still uncertain, and a specific place to start tomorrow.
